Terms of Use

You may use the Service only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement or if you use the Service with appropriate consent from a parent, guardian, or authorized representative.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws, rules, and regulations that apply to you.

Some parts of the Service may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created risk for Quick Stop or others, provided inaccurate information, misused the Service, or used the Service in a way that may be unlawful, unsafe, or harmful.

The Service may allow users to request bottle pickup services, manage donation or return information, receive notifications, communicate with Quick Stop, coordinate with drivers or staff, access depot-related information, and use other features we make available from time to time.

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We are not responsible for any loss or inconvenience resulting from changes to, or unavailability of, the Service.

Pickup requests are subject to availability, location, weather, staffing, scheduling, operational capacity, and other practical limitations.

Submitting a pickup request does not guarantee that a pickup will be accepted, scheduled, completed, or completed at a specific time. We may decline, reschedule, cancel, or modify pickup requests at our discretion, including where information is incomplete, unsafe conditions exist, the location is outside our service area, the requested service is impractical, or the request appears inaccurate, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate.

You are responsible for providing accurate pickup information, including address, contact details, access instructions, item descriptions, timing preferences, and any relevant safety or location details.

When using the Service, you agree that you will:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
• Ensure that pickup materials are accessible, safe to collect, and accurately described.
• Follow any instructions we provide for pickup preparation, communication, or account use.
• Respect Quick Stop staff, drivers, contractors, partners, and other users.
• Keep your account credentials secure.
• Promptly update or cancel requests if circumstances change.

You must not:

• Use the Service for unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, harassing, or harmful purposes.
• Submit false, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information.
• Interfere with, disrupt, damage, overload, or impair the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, database, network, or part of the Service.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, crawl, copy, or extract data from the Service except as expressly permitted by us.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, authority, or affiliation.
• Use the Service to send spam or unauthorized commercial messages.
• Use the Service in a way that infringes or violates the rights of Quick Stop or any third party.

If you use our mobile application, you are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, operating system, internet connection, and any required software updates.

Mobile app functionality may depend on device permissions such as location, camera, photos, notifications, and storage. You can manage permissions through your device settings, but disabling permissions may limit functionality.

If you download the mobile app through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or another app marketplace, your use of that marketplace may also be governed by that provider's terms and policies.

By using the Service, you agree that we may send you service-related communications, including account messages, pickup updates, reminders, support messages, security notices, and administrative notices.

Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sending promotional electronic messages. You may unsubscribe from promotional messages where an unsubscribe option is provided. You may still receive transactional, safety-related, account-related, or service-related communications where permitted by law.

If the Service includes paid features, fees, refunds, deposits, donation handling, promotional offers, credits, or other payment-related functionality, the applicable terms will be shown at the time of transaction or in a separate written agreement.

Unless otherwise stated, all amounts are in Canadian dollars. You are responsible for any taxes, charges, or fees that may apply to your use of paid features.

We may modify fees, payment features, or promotional offers at any time, subject to applicable law and any specific terms that apply to an active transaction.

The Service may allow you to submit information, messages, notes, images, documents, instructions, or other content (“User Content”).

You retain any rights you have in your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Quick Stop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, reproduce, display, process, transmit, and share your User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve, secure, and support the Service.

You are responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights and authority necessary to submit it. You must not submit User Content that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, confidential without authorization, harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.

We may remove or restrict User Content if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, or may be unlawful or harmful.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, workflows, features, content, and other materials, is owned by Quick Stop or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Service except as expressly permitted by us in writing or by applicable law.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, app stores, maps, payment processors, communication providers, analytics providers, or other services.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, availability, security, or practices. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

We may also release updates, patches, improvements, or new features. Some updates may be required for continued use of the Service.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, representations, and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, and security.

We do not guarantee that pickup requests will be accepted, scheduled, completed, or completed at any specific time. We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, service interruptions, inaccurate user information, unsafe pickup conditions, third-party failures, or events beyond our reasonable control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quick Stop Bottle Depot and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, use, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim arose; or (b) CAD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quick Stop Bottle Depot and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, and partners from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

• Your use or misuse of the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any law or third-party right.
• Your User Content.
• Information or instructions you provide through the Service.
• Unsafe, inaccurate, inaccessible, or inappropriate pickup conditions caused or controlled by you.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe that:

• You have violated these Terms.
• Your account or activity creates legal, security, operational, reputational, or safety risk.
• You have provided inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent, or incomplete information.
• Your use of the Service is abusive, harmful, unlawful, or inappropriate.
• We are required or permitted to do so by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Certain provisions of these Terms will continue to apply after your account or access ends, including provisions relating to intellectual property, privacy, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law, and dispute resolution.

These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law, you agree that the courts located in Alberta will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Where required by law or where changes are material, we may provide additional notice, such as through the Service, by email, or through the mobile app.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms, together with any additional terms presented within the Service and our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Quick Stop regarding the Service.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
